Position Title: Supervisor, Product Ownership

Job Summary

Supervises the product owners and business analysts within the Information Technology Department. Responsible for product oversight through the full product management lifecycle derived from various business partners and senior leaders. Helps build and manage processes that allow the IT department to effectively manage and communicate product strategy and tactical execution. Builds partnerships with senior-level management and analyzes business needs and translates that into product strategy and roadmaps easily understood by leadership and contributors. Maintains a general knowledge of company-wide processes and sub-systems. Encourages the team to achieve departmental and company goals. Actively looks for ways to improve overall department and team productivity.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities
• Leads the process of eliciting product needs and vision from internal DQ stakeholders and leaders and creating product strategy and vision that are easily digestible by all internal parties.
o Turns product strategic vision into tangible product roadmaps.
o Effectively manages through ambiguity and create product definition and results
o Takes disparate sources of information to create and execute on strategic vision.

• Partners with leadership and Business Stakeholders to develop and communicate Product Roadmaps that reflect DQ Strategic Vision

• Assists Leadership and Business Stakeholders create a high level vision for Product Delivery
o Develop and maintain forward-thinking roadmap aligned with the corporate strategy for product development
o Prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product
o Effectively prioritize IT work for Development Teams

• Align with the PMO to understand future and existing Projects

Tactical Responsibilities
• Engages in the development process to provide clarity and direction to teams

• Point of Contact for Executive Inquiries

• Proactively work with DQ leadership to understand their current and future business objectives. Delivers solutions that tie back to Product Roadmaps/Vision
o Work closely with product owners to communicate vision and requirements for new features.

• Participate in Client proposal meetings to identify critical roadblocks and requirements

• Proactively communicate product gaps and needs.

• Other duties as needed or required.

Job Qualifications

Required:
• BS or equivalent and 4 years’ experience in computer sciences or related field, or equivalent combination.
• Excellent analytical skills, as well as accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrable ability to interact effectively with people at all levels from multiple areas of the company.
• Understanding of IT environment and architecture. Must have demonstrated expertise in more than one DQ business or technical area with a proven working knowledge in related areas of expertise (e.g., languages, applications, business analysis, etc.).
• Willingness to acquire In-Depth knowledge of product functionality
• Ability to work with High-Level Executives as well as Development Teams
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills.
• Sound Business Judgement- can focus on what is important and synthesize complex information easily.

Preferred:
• In-Depth knowledge of Dental Business
• Demonstrated progressive levels of responsibility, experience, and leadership.

Physical Demands
• Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively.
• Requires overall light physical effort (up to 25lbs.)
• Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out the position's own position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal compute).
• Ability to travel or move about within and outside serviced facilities required.
• Incumbent works primarily in either a private or shared office environment.
